The 39 shows on the boards grossed $27,986,522, about 14.90% more that of the previous week\u2019s totals.<\/p>\n<p>The start of April school vacations, family and tourist demand resulted in a big hit for the Broadway shows. As a result several of the shows \u2013 \u201cWicked,\u201d \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lionkingbroadwayticketsonline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Lion King<\/a>,\u201d \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.spidermanturnoffthedarkticketsonline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bookofmormonticketsonline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Book of Mormon<\/a>\u201d \u2013 brought in huge sums per person on average, according to weekly box office data published on Monday.
