There are gossips that the producers of Wicked Musical are planning to take the hit musical on a first UK tour in 2013.

Wicked is a standing production at Apollo Victoria Theatre. First opened on Broadway in October 2003, Wicked – which tells the “untold story” of the Witches of Oz – received its West End premiere in 2006 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, where it has been seen by over 4.5 million people to date.

If confirmed, it would mark the show’s first UK tour and would likely run along with the West End production. The Lion King and War Horse are also planning for their inaugural UK tours in 2013.

Wicked musical finally coming to the Smith Center for a six-week run next week August 29, 2012. The performances of the Las vegas production will run from August 29 to October 7, 2012.

Each night, Wicked will hold a lottery for a limited number of $25 orchestra seats to each show. Wicked Broadway Musical grossed $1,818,537 and had an attendance rate of 90.9%, about 4.1% less than that of the previous week. The 24 shows on the boards grossed $20,855,107, dropping around 3.17% from the previous week’s totals.

Wicked Musical tour will be visiting Kitchener, Ontario Canada August 29 to September 09, 2012. When the cast of the Broadway show Wicked settles in at Centre in the Square Kitchener for a two-week run starting Aug. 29, they will present a unique version of the Wizard of Oz story. Most notably, the wicked witch of the west isn’t so evil after all.

Evenko and Broadway Across Canada are staging Wicked in Montreal’s Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier until August 26, 2012. Composed by Stephen Schwartz and based on Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel, this musical tells the story of the witches of OZ before Dorothy arrived. Stephen Oremus is the music director while orchestrations are by William David Brohn. The book is by Winnie Holzman.

Ben Freeman to join the cast of Wicked in the West End.

Wicked, the smash hit musical that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, has announced that Ben Freeman (Fiyero), Louise Plowright (Madame Morrible), Sam Lupton (Boq), Hayley Gallivan (Standby Elphaba) and Lucy van Gasse (Standby Glinda) will all join the London cast from Monday 29 October 2012. Katie Rowley Jones will return to play Nessarose, the role she originated when the musical opened in 2006.

They will join the previously announced Louise Dearman, who will rejoin the cast to star as Elphaba having played Glinda to huge acclaim, as well as Gina Beck, Keith Bartlett and Christopher Howell, who will continue in their current starring roles as Glinda, The Wizard and Doctor Dillamond respectively.

The National Touring Company of Wicked will host WICKED AFTER DARK, an evening of cabaret performances on Monday, August 20 at the Off Broadway Theatre, 272 South Main Street, Salt Lake City, Utah. This event will benefit Utah AIDS Foundation and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The event will feature cast and crew members of the company performing a cabaret evening of music.

Produced by company members, the evening is an opportunity for them to step out of their roles in the musical in music, dance and comedy; and will feature company members including, Nicole Parker (Elphaba), Kim Zimmer (Madame Morrible), Clifton Davis (Dr. Dillamond), Demaree Hill (Nessarose) and Carla Stickler (Elphaba Standby), as well as members of the ensemble and the touring staff.
