Omaha, prepare for the return of a beloved classic! The smash-hit Broadway musical Wicked is making its highly anticipated return to the Orpheum Theatre Omaha as part of the 2026 national tour.
A Triumphant History in Omaha
The Orpheum Theatre has hosted this magical production multiple times, with each engagement breaking records and solidifying its place in Omaha’s heart. Fans flocked to see the show during its extended runs in 2009, 2011 (May 25 – June 12), 2014 (May 7-25), and most recently in 2022 (April 27 – May 15). Now, the untold story of Oz’s Witches is set to mesmerize the Midwest once more.
The next spectacular engagement is scheduled for June 17 to July 05, 2026, offering three weeks of performances right in the heart of summer.

The Phenomenon Flies Back
Wicked tells the compelling and often hilarious story of two sorcery students at Shiz University: the misunderstood, green-skinned Elphaba, and the sunny, popular Glinda. Their rivalry blossoms into an unexpected friendship until the world forces them onto separate paths toward their ultimate destinies as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
Featuring a powerful score that includes “Defying Gravity” and “Popular,” this production continues to wow audiences with its imaginative spectacle and touching story. The show runs for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, plus a 15-minute intermission.
