The first North American touring company of Wicked welcomes Emma Hunton as Elphaba on April 23 in Richmond, VA at Altria Theater – Richmond (Formerly Landmark Theater).

Hunton joins the cast that includes Gina Beck as Glinda, Alison Fraser as Madame Morrible and Tim Kazurinsky as The Wizard.

Hunton’s credits include the Broadway company of Spring Awakening (Ilse) as well as the Off-Broadway company of RENT (Maureen). She was last on tour with the 1st National Tour of Next to Normal (Natalie) and most recently played Ryan in the world premiere of Witness Uganda at the American Repertory Theater.

Back by popular demand, Broadway’s biggest blockbuster musical “Wicked” makes a return visit to the Borderland to lead a stellar lineup for Broadway in El Paso‘s 2014-15 season, El Paso Live and Jam Theatricals announced.

The Broadway blockbuster, Wicked finally arrived in Boise ID for Morrison Center Performances from April 16 to May 04, 2014.

Crews worked hard to set up the stage which took almost three days. 70 people travel with the cast and crew to each city and about 100 were hired from right here in the Treasure Valley to help. Organizers say each city and venue presents new challenges because the show requires so much equipment.

“We travel with 13 semi trucks full of equipment,” said Ryan Lympus, the Wicked National Tour Company Manager. “There’s almost 300 lights, there’s almost 100 speakers, this deck is about 100 pieces that are jigsawed together and put together.”
