Based on Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, the musical revolves around the relationship of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good witch. The musical unravels the story of the witches in the Land of Oz, as they struggle over the same love interest and political strife of the Wizard’s corrupt government. Audiences are confronted with the underlying motifs of good versus evil throughout the musical’s acts. Wicked musical show celebrated its eleventh anniversary in October 2014 and has played over 4,608 performances.
