Back by popular demand, Broadway’s biggest blockbuster musical “Wicked” makes a return visit to the Borderland to lead a stellar lineup for Broadway in El Paso‘s 2014-15 season, El Paso Live and Jam Theatricals announced.
Called a “cultural phenomenon,” “Wicked” continues to break box office records across North America. Wicked is the story of two witches, Elphaba, the unfortunate girl with the green skin, and the blonde and perfect Glinda. One – born with emerald-green skin – is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. Wicked tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, and how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
Wicked musical will now storm into The Plaza Theatre – El Paso for an amazing two-week run May 20 to May 31, 2015.
Last time, “Wicked” drew 30,000 people to the 2,000-seat Plaza Theatre over an eight-day, 16-show stretch in February 2012. Wicked musical tickets sold like hot cakes during 2012.
