Wicked – tickets on sale now at the Orpheum Theatre – is not your grandfather’s Broadway-style musical. (Actually, your grandfather’s Broadway-style musical is called South Pacific and it features dorsal male nudity, singing sailors, and cross-dressing.) Wicked is thoroughly enjoyable even if you’re not into sisterhood, empowerment ‘n stuff.
