The producers of Wicked announced on Dec. 2 that the touring production of the popular musical broke the Broadway in Chicago record for the largest one-week gross.

Wicked took in a record-setting $1,935,432 at the box office for the week ending December 1. The musical held the previous Chicago record, earning $1,764,428 during the week ending Jan. 4, 2009
Wicked touring production is currently playing at the Oriental Theatre – Ford Center for the Performing Arts – IL through Saturday December 21, 2013.
