Wicked Second North American tour to welcome new cast beginning April 3 in Rochester, NY. Cast to be added – Jennifer DiNoia as Elphaba, Hayley Podschun as Glinda and David Nathan Perlow as Fiyero. DiNoia, Podschun and Perlow will join a cast that includes Gina Ferrall as Madame Morrible and Walker Jones as The Wizard.

Wicked tells the story of two unlikely friends, Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West) and Glinda (the Good Witch of the North), who struggle through opposing personalities and viewpoints, rivalry over the same love-interest, reactions to the Wizard’s corrupt government, and, ultimately, Elphaba’s public fall from grace.

Wicked 1st National Touring company welcomes new Glinda and Fiyero. Broadway veterans Jenn Gambatese and Curt Hansen will star as Glinda and Fiyero, respectively.

Gambatese will join the production on February 26 in Costa Mesa, CA and Hansen will be added to the cast on March 20 in Tucson, AZ. Gambatese and Hansen will join a cast that includes Dee Roscioli as Elphaba, Kim Zimmer as Madame Morrible and Tom McGowan as The Wizard.

According to Broadway in Hawaii, Wicked grossed over $9 million during its eight-week run. More than 110,000 fans watched the show while it was in Honolulu. Wicked closes it’s run in Honolulu, but had a big impact in the economy.

They say the show boosted sales for nearby restaurants, hotels, and businesses, translating into a $30 million economic impact.

Wicked will be part of upcoming Celebrity Attractions season – will return to Tulsa as a special addition to Celebrity Attractions’ 2013-14 season.

Celebrity Attractions President Larry Payton announced the season Tuesday at a press conference in the Tulsa PAC lobby.

“Wicked” will return to Tulsa June 18-22, 2014. Named the “best musical of decade” by Entertainment Weekly, the show set box-office records when it first played Tulsa in 2009, selling out its four-week, 32-show run.

Wicked musical is the story of how a young girl named Elphaba becomes known as the Wicked Witch of the West is at once a revision of L. Frank Baum’s imaginary world of Oz and a parable about love and tolerance. Based on a novel by Gregory Maguire, “Wicked” is the musical adaptation of the untold story of the witches of Oz. The play follows the young Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda in the Land of Oz…long before Dorothy drops in.

The Fox has announced that Wicked Musical, now in its 4th visit to St. Louis, has set two significant box office records during this engagement.

One Week Gross: The show, which opened December 12th and runs through January 6th, broke its own one week gross mark at The Fox by taking in $2,755,070 for the week ending December 30th. That’s the largest amount for one week of any musical to ever play The Fabulous Fox Theatre.

Biggest Gross for one Week of Performances: It is also the biggest gross for one week of performances of any touring musical ever in North America.
