Frank Baum’s imaginary world of Oz and a parable about love and tolerance. Based on a novel by Gregory Maguire, “Wicked” is the musical adaptation of the untold story of the witches of Oz. According to Broadway in Hawaii, Wicked grossed over $9 million during its eight-week run. More than 110,000 fans watched the show while it was in Honolulu. Wicked closes it’s run in Honolulu, but had a big impact in the economy.
